Self-Help TV Goes to the Bronx

  by

damali abrams

Self-Help TV provides a healing space in the most familiar of contemporary settings- television!  Using video and performance, Self-Help TV provides a range of programming, including comedy, drama, and reality formats to create a space for healing in these trying and uncertain times.  The industries of science and technology work hard to ensure the efficiency of systems of death, destruction and war.  Unfortunately, systems of healing do not seem to be advancing at the same rate.  There is no equivalent to the nuclear bomb's capacity for destruction in healing.  This is the void that Self-Help TV intends to fill.

At BBBP, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy Self-Help TV in its natural habitat: a cozy home-like environment with programs projected on the wall.

Saturday March 7 - March 28, 2009

Please join us for the opening on Saturday, March 7, 2 - 5pm.

...Also note that BBBP is one of the Bronx Culture Trolley Stops on Wednesday March 4, from 5 - 8:30pm & Saturday March 14, from 12 - 5pm....  See also here for latest.
