VOCES: Blue Was Never My Color, Anyway!

Panel Discussion; El Museo del Barrio, NY

From 2008-2009 Bronx artist Blanka Amezkua invited a New York based artist to show work in her bedroom for the duration of one month.  It was called the Bronx Blue Bedroom Project (BBBP).

During their show, each featured artist was asked to cook a meal or conduct a workshop based on the work they were exhibiting.  Accompanied by guest curators and featured BBBP artists, we will discuss how showing in a bedroom in the South Bronx influenced their artistic practice and talk about the current local art scene.
